Beyond Acebuchal

Distance: 14km
Elev Gain: 400m

This is one of the most beautiful hikes,  originating from El Acebuchal, the Hidden Village.  The scenery is breathtaking and the weather was perfect after our heavy rain on Monday which left us all a bit soggy and downtrodden.  Unfortunately, late in the day one of our hikers took ill and John had to rush down to the village and get transport for him.  Fortunately, It was nothing serious and the rest of our group made it down without incident.  This emphasizes the importance of  not only hydration but also electrolyte replacement.  This was the largest group to-date.  Because of the Easter holiday  the town is buzzing with travelers and schools are  off so there was a big mountain bike race happening where we were hiking.

Start of the race in Frigiliana

 Pretty spread outt by now

  1. I continue to be awe struck with the countryside you're hiking... and living in! I have been elevated to Adjunct Social Director in your continued absence, but John Kerr is also in the running. You might not be aware but the fine print within the AHG waiver you signed is a paragraph that levies a $10/wk fine for failure of an officer to discharge his/her duties.
