I started this blog in 2004 when I walked my first Camino in Spain. Since that time I've walked two others, the links are to the left. In between, I've travelled throughout Europe and Africa and most recently the US. I'll be embarking on another long distance walk on the Florida Scenic Train, starting in March of 2019.

No Maro Tomorrow, Its Torrox Tomorrow
I'm beginning to feel a bit like a displaced person. I'm moving to Torrox, twenty minutes to the west. The owner of the hotel wants to rent my room at holiday rental rates. This will be a good chance to get a change of scenery, too. Maro was a great place for me while my leg was healing. I'm much more mobile now and needing a bit more activity and exercise. The apartment is close to the beach, has two swimming pools and is close to the bus stop, with lots of buses running between Nerja and Malaga. Its one downfall is a lack of charm and a Spanish feel. I don't anticipate staying there for more than a month--don't quote me on that, mind you. So, once again I have to say goodbye to Katarina, Nicolas, Mary, Graham, Javier, Amanda and Nigel. Oh, yes, Nacho, Goofy, Bambi, Lola, and Domino, too.
