The last three weeks I've been in the midst of planning my next adventure. Two friends from my Camino days and I will be backpacking the Florida Scenic Trail for about 400 miles, commencing March 9th. We meet up in Miami on the 7th and head to John Stretch Park, where we will begin our 38 day hike. Our original plan was to start at the Big Cypress National Preserve; however, they've closed the trail to do some controlled burning. Never knew this existed. Should be interesting. I'm guessing lots more snakes and gators than on the Spanish and Portuguese caminos.
