On the Road Again

After a week of resting after my Florida trip, I’m on the road again. I got the bug to can’t and spend more time outdoors breathing fresh air and connecting with Mother Gaia.   I headed to Myrtle Beach and spent the night at Pawleys Island. Huntington Brach Stste Park, my original destination was full—spring break the week before. I spent Sunday at Brookgreen Gardens, a marvelous botanical garden with hundreds of sculptures dating back 100+ years. The site was formerly a series of rice plantations, so has a history going back for centuries.  The tides provided a natural system for irrigation that made the land perfect for growing rice. Also the slaves brought over from Africa were well trained in Africa as rice farmers and British landowners benefited greatly.
