Plum Village

We headed northward towards the region of Bordeaux to Plum Village where Thich Nhat Hahn has set up an ashram. I was reminded that Vietnam was once a French  colony.  We attended a day of mindfulness meditation, including a dharma talk and fabulous vegan lunch.

In contrast we stayed at the Manoir de Juillereaux down the road. It was a fabulous B&B run by a British couple.  So we got to hear all the trials of running a business in France. Evidently the French don't consider running a B&B as "work" and therefore not entitled to the same perks as other workers. Go figure!
