I started this blog in 2004 when I walked my first Camino in Spain. Since that time I've walked two others, the links are to the left. In between, I've travelled throughout Europe and Africa and most recently the US. I'll be embarking on another long distance walk on the Florida Scenic Train, starting in March of 2019.

Nice is Nice
HNice, the jewel of the French Riviera, is a very cosmopolitan city and full of wealth. Lots of people have summer homes, huge yachts and money to spend on designer labels. It's also full of Ametican tourists in greater numbers than I've seen so far. The highlight in Nice is the Marc Chagall museum, which was built while he was still alive. It features his paintings of biblical scenes and his use of color added a dramatic effect to the already fantastic images.
