The village is not far from Nice and looks out on the Mefiterranean. It reminds me a lot of the white villages in Spain, with narrow mosac'd streets, shops, galleries and cafes.
I started this blog in 2004 when I walked my first Camino in Spain. Since that time I've walked two others, the links are to the left. In between, I've travelled throughout Europe and Africa and most recently the US. I'll be embarking on another long distance walk on the Florida Scenic Train, starting in March of 2019.

St Paul de Vence
My friend Alissa and I've finally come together here in Nice. We'll be travellimg together for several weeks across the south of France. We'd heard so much about the French village of St Paul de Vence where many artists and writers lived, including Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Matisse, and James Baldwin.
