Just got internet so here are my posts for the week!!!
There was a bit of confusion after I landed in Johannisnurg and waited for my shuttle bus. The lady pointed to a large bus parked outside and said that was my bus. No tickets were taken when we boarded and a half hour into the trip a woman came by to get our tickets. She had a rather perplexed look when we discovered I was on a bus headed to Botswana, a six hour ride. The driver was able to get off at the next exit, which luckily was only a five minute ride to where I could catch the next shuttle. She made the necessary phone calls to alert everyone to my situation. It was a long wait before the next shuttle showed up and arrived at my destination three hours later than expected. I have to say I am impressed at how friendly and accommodating the Sputh Africans have been so far.
Our lovely group of travelers--Britt, Anthea and Chris from the UK. Brit was raised on South Africa do is returning to her roots. Shannon and Peter are from Australia. Fairh is from Richmond, VA and Adele from the US, but most recently lived in Brazil. She is well-travelled. Gillian is a local from Pretoria, Louise and son Sam from the area and Dean our guide is from Capetown. That's our group of twelve as we caravan in a eight passenger VW van and pickup towing a small trailer.
