I started this blog in 2004 when I walked my first Camino in Spain. Since that time I've walked two others, the links are to the left. In between, I've travelled throughout Europe and Africa and most recently the US. I'll be embarking on another long distance walk on the Florida Scenic Train, starting in March of 2019.

Visit to Bushman village
We spent an afternoon connecting with the land and the local Bushman community today. This is a displaced community of Bushman families who are in much need of healing after their ancient ways and spirit have been slowly falling away from their memories, due to being manipulated into working the Diamond mine for De Beers over the generations. Despite their poverty, they came alive when Anthea began her drumming and the local medicine women started her dance. Everyone enjoyed her exuberance and left with huge smiles and open hearts. Unfortunately after taking a video my phone ran out of storage and I didn't get any photos.
