I started this blog in 2004 when I walked my first Camino in Spain. Since that time I've walked two others, the links are to the left. In between, I've travelled throughout Europe and Africa and most recently the US. I'll be embarking on another long distance walk on the Florida Scenic Train, starting in March of 2019.

Sacred Eye Spring, Kuruman
The Sacred “Oog” - the Eye, is the largest fresh water spring in the Southern Hemisphere. This forms part of a hidden underground river system that flows across Southern Africa. Known as the 'Oasis of the Kalahari' , this spring delivers 20 million litres of water daily! Here we connected and drank from these sacred healing waters and drew our water for the day.
