Canton NC

After 10 days in Asheville, I needed a break from the traffic and high energy, so I headed for the hills, so to speak and landed in bucolic Canton, a half hour west of Asheville.  I’m at a really cool place, all green construction and solar-powered.  It’s very peaceful and you can hear a the birds sing and the resident bullfrog makes his presence known.  I took a hike up to the Rough Creek Watershed where the creek was nearby but mostly out of sight.   I’m using an app now called AllHikes, which is great for info about the hikes and provides navigation to keep one on the trsil.
