This is a pretty little place east of Waynesville, a community built up around the lake. A picturesque two mile loop around the lake filled in some idle time one afternoon. There’s an amazing boardwalk on the west side adorned with roses in full bloom. The stone Methodist church had an interesting labyrinth with a unique serpentine design. The area is surrounded by lush green hills. With no shortage of late afternoon rain.
I started this blog in 2004 when I walked my first Camino in Spain. Since that time I've walked two others, the links are to the left. In between, I've travelled throughout Europe and Africa and most recently the US. I'll be embarking on another long distance walk on the Florida Scenic Train, starting in March of 2019.
